Let’s face it—nothing changes if nothing changes, however, within the context of a collaborative, trusting and safe environment, change is possible.

I believe that most mental health symptoms are the result of unprocessed trauma and/or one’s current view and interaction with the people and the world around them.  For this reason, I utilize a strength-based approach, with a combination of Trauma informed care, family systems, and cognitive behavioral theories in my therapeutic approach.

As a therapist, I am positive, genuine, and direct in my approach in partnering with you to turn your life in your desired direction. I treat individual adults, adolescents, couples and families.  I specialize in trauma, anxiety, depression, couples, relationship issues, loss & bereavement, and reducing the affects of mental disorders that hinder forward movement.   I have extensive experience working with victims of sex trafficking.

Prior to entering into private practice, I worked for Wellspring Living, as the therapist for the girls’ residential program for victims of sex trafficking. More recently, I was the therapist on staff at a local church where I was responsible for providing therapy and developing the framework for the organization’s counseling center.  Within the community, I offer ongoing training to agencies and organizations on various  mental health topics, and I provide community counseling to at risk youth.

In addition to being a Licensed Professional Counselor in the state of Georgia, I am a National Certified Counselor (NCC) through the National Board of Certified Counselors (NBCC).  I am also a member of the American Counseling Association (ACA), and the Licensed Professional Counselor’s of Georgia (LPCGA).  I received my Master’s of Science from Mercer University (Summa Cum Laude) and completed my internship year at Riverwoods Behavioral Health Center, Riverdale, Georgia.  I received my Bachelors Degree from Spelman College, Atlanta, Georgia.
